Movistar Team are seeing the departure of Alejandro Valverde at the end of the season, which as a consequence is also likely to see a new set of leaders coming into the Spanish team. Movistar have however secured four of its domestiques in order to keep it's base solid.
José Joaquín Rojas and Imanol Erviti, two of the team's most experienced riders and veterans have signed with the team for another year, where their talent and knowledge out on the road is set to be valuable during the stages-races mainly.
Rouleur Albert Torres has also worked into a new contract, having gained a crucial position at the team's Grand Tour lineups where he's frequently been at the head of the peloton and has assisted with positioning for Enric Mas mainly in the 2022 season.
Lluís Mas has also signed a new contract with the team, securing his position in the World Tour for another year. It is expected that Fernando Gaviria will soon be revealed as a new acquisition for the team, whilst Spanish talent Carlos Rodríguez has also been widely mentioned as a possible signing - albeit for 2024, most likely.
