Mikel Landa rides his last Vuelta a España with the Bahrain Victorious team after being confirmed to join Remco Evenepoel's Soudal Quick-Step for 2023. The Basque cyclist spoke to RTVE after finishing the rainy opening team time trial in Barcelona and talked about his (bad) feelings and his goal in the Spanish race.
"I don't have the best feeling if I have to be honest, but I want to do well in my last race with Bahrain, the intention is going to be to win a stage and why not the Tourmalet, anyone will do for me," he said. Bahrain ended up having a good day losing only 10 seconds to Team DSM-Firmenich, the team has won time on many of it's rival teams.
