One of the G.O.A.T's of women's cycling, Marianne Vos will turn 38 by the end of the 2025 season. That's not to say the Dutch legend is slowing down though. Heading into 2025, Vos is aiming for a season as good as any in her illustrious career.

“I'm delighted with how 2024 turned out,” Vos reflects in an official press release via the Team Visma | Lease a Bike website. “Beforehand, you don't know how the season will unfold, but I was able to maintain a high level throughout the year, which resulted in some great victories that we achieved as a team.”

In 2024, Vos secured Grand Tour stage victories, one day wins and even an Olympic medal, proving she is still more than capable of competing against the very best of the current generation. “It's hard to choose one moment. In the spring I won three classics, then in the summer I claimed the green jersey in the Tour de France Femmes and won a silver at the Olympics," Vos recalls fondly. "Overall, it was a great season, and I look forward to 2025.”

Speaking of 2025. As mentioned, Vos is looking to continue her string of success. “Every year, the team takes big steps forward and, that is of course nice to see. I was part of the team from the very beginning, and watching how it has grown over time is incredibly rewarding. Hopefully, we can develop as a team again in 2025,” she says. “In terms of training, but also tactics and strategies, I can still improve. Additionally, racing has evolved, and the level of competition has increased. Over the years, all these aspects have developed. This year, I hope to continue developing myself further.”

“I’m really looking forward to pinning on a race number again,” Vos concludes. “I hope to race for victory with the team as often as possible and get the best out of myself. I’m especially excited about the spring classics, particularly Milano-Sanremo, Paris-Roubaix, and the Amstel Gold Race. Of course, the Tour de France Femmes is also a major goal for me.”
