- SEE is the operative word here. There are plenty of young ones burnt out already, since many years it’s just that it’s on a level the public doesn’t see. Anyone involved in youth sport cannot deny that for every rider who makes it to the pro status there are 10 who tried their best for many years and didn’t even get a contract. Not because of lack of work, sometimes not even because of lack of talent, it’s just the nature of pro sport, only a certain number can be considered but for that number you have to have a bigger pool.
