Laurence Pithie confirmed as Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe's latest acquisition for 2025 season

Laurence Pithie was one of the stars of the early part of the 2024 season, taking the win at the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race and impressing in the Spring Classics, including a 7th placed finish at Paris-Roubaix. Rewarded for these breakthrough showings, the Kiwi has now been confirmed as a Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe's latest signing.

“I’m super excited to be joining Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe for the coming seasons," the 21-year-old says in conversation with his new employers' official website after the long rumoured transfer was finally confirmed. "It is an impressive team with a great project for the future. I can’t wait to get started and progress as a rider in their new colours!”

Since the added investment of global energy drink manufacturer Red Bull, the team have been boosted financially and are beginning to make the most of this new strength, with Pithie joining Giulio Pellizarri as confirmed transfers for the future, although many more are still rumoured.

"Only 22 years old and already with his first WorldTour win, impressive debuts in San Remo, Roubaix and the Giro, and aggressive riding in major classics like Gent-Wevelgem," assesses Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe's Ralph Denk, after awarding Pithie a two-year contract with the team. "Laurence is still young, but his talent is no longer a secret. I am delighted that he has chosen to join our team and that we will be taking the next step in his career together."
