Tao Geoghegan Hart rode off the peloton after several riders tried to move in a surprising move. A bunch sprint was unavoidable however, with Trek - Segafredo and Jumbo-Visma having several riders in front at the entrance of the final kilometer.

The final 500 meters saw a horrendous crash with multiple riders involved. The chaos in the peloton closed the contention for the stage, with the Jumbo-Visma leadout remaining in front. Timo Roosen won the uncontested sprint, with Edoardo Affini and Chris Harper completing the podium.
