Jumbo Visma rider Jonas Vingegaard will start his season with O Gran Camiño in late February. The race organiser officially confirmed the news, although his team has not revealed anything yet.
"How eager we were to deliver this news. The reigning winner of the Tour de France will start his season on Galician roads. Jonas Vingegaard will be there in O Gran Camino 2023," O Gran Camiño wrote on Twitter.
The first race was held in 2022 and was won by Alejandro Valverde, who beat Michael Woods and Mark Padun. Race organizers have yet to reveal the course of this next year's four-day race, which will take place from 23-26 February.
Taking part in the Spanish race will be the first time for Jumbo-Visma. They were too busy last season with their tight schedules, but this year they've decided to drop the Ardèche Classic and the Drôme Classic, giving them the time to take part in O Gran Camiño.
