Johannes Staune-Mittet looks forward to his first year in World Tour: "I want to be a better rider in every way"

Johannes Staune-Mittet is one of three Jumbo-Visma Development Team riders taking a leap over to World Tour with Visma | Lease a Bike in 2024, alongside his Norwegian compatriot Per Strand Hagenes and Dutch Loe van Belle.

"The first training camp with the WorldTour team went well. Thanks to my time on the development team, it was not my first time riding with them. That made the step less big. I hope to improve even more mentally and physically in 2024. I want to be a better rider in every way," the Norwegian said in press release.

The 21-year-old Staune-Mittet impressed last year with overall triumph at the Baby Giro where he took a stage win on the mighty Passo dello Stelvio. Furthermore the Norwegian confirmed he's ready for the arrival at the big scene, as he has shown with a win in the queen stage of the Czech Tour beating World Tour riders like Rein Taaramae and Florian Lipowitz.
