Johan Bruyneel doesn't see future for Nairo Quintana in Europe: "Forget it, he doesn't race again"

Nairo Quintana is still without a team despite the fact that we are very close to entering the month of May. In Colombia, the possibility of the former Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a Espana winner competing again with a European team is still being debated, but Johan Bruyneel doesn't seem positive.

On the Colombian programme El Leñero, the commentator Óscar Restrepo quoted Johan Bruyneel, who would have sent him a message about the future Nairo Quintana, in which he gave him no chance of competing again at the highest level in international cycling: "They made him the cross, he's screwed, forget it, he doesn't race again."

Óscar Restrepo continued, explaining that for Nairo to have a minimal chance of returning to the WorldTour he has to do a series of things that it seems that his environment is not willing to accept:

"There are people who were exonerated and continue to pay the blame. Nairo is going to continue fighting, he is trained, but as long as he does not make the reconversion that some suggested, but that his environment did not allow, it will be difficult for him to return to high-profile cycling."
