After it was first reported a few weeks ago,
Jan Tratnik's Team Visma | Lease a Bike departure is now all but officially confirmed, with the Slovenian set to join compatriot Primoz Roglic at
BORA - hansgrohe.
The latest development in the story comes from GCN, who state "Team Visma | Lease a Bike had been in talks to extend the rider’s current deal but GCN understands from reliable sources that the move to BORA - hansgrohe will take place with the 34-year-old set to link up with his former teammate and fellow Slovenian Primoz Roglic."
Tratnik has impressed this season already, taking victory at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. With the Slovenian also on the provisional startlist of both the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France for Team Visma | Lease a Bike, the former Giro stage winner is set for a busy final campaign in yellow and black.
For BORA - hansgrohe, this latest deal continues their impressive business since welcoming the sponsorship of Red Bull into the fold. Earlier this month, GCN also reported that Groupama - FDJ's revelation, Laurence Pithie is also heading to BORA, with a number of key riders such as Aleksandr Vlasov and Jai Hindley either having signed extension or on the verge of doing so.
