Jakub Mareczko raises hands in stage 2 of ZLM Tour: "Buchten seems to be my lucky place"

Jakub Mareczko won a stage in the ZLM Tour in Buchten this afternoon for the second year in a row. In the Limburg town, the Italian beat Olav Kooij on Friday.

"We did it," the Italian laughs after the race. "I am very happy. This is special to me. Buchten seems to be my lucky place."

With two days left, the interviewer asked what are Mareczko's plans or remaining stages. "I take it one day at a time, but of course I now have the confidence to go for more. Tomorrow we will try again.”

This was Mareczko's second victory of 2023 as the Italian raised hands once in France, in a stage of Tour de Bretagne (2.2), while racing for the development team.
