Slovenian road pirates warned to "Leave the racing to Roglic"

Primoz Roglic came out victorious from otherwise uneventful Giro d'Italia, beating the then Maglia Rosa wearer Geraint Thomas in the final timetrial up Monte Lussari. With this, the Jumbo-Visma rider took a revenge for painful defeat by Tadej Pogacar on La Planche des Belles Filles in Tour de France 2020.

Roglic's Grand Tour victory didn't go unnoticed in his native Slovenia and one of the funniest things witnessed was a highway electronic traffic sign which read: "Leave the racing to Roglic," asking all the road pirates in English to drive safely.

Since the Monte Lussari climb is very near Slovenian borders with Italy, Roglic was able to enjoy a huge crowd cheering him on the way to the top, including his former ski jumping friend who helped him get back on the bike ill-timed mechanical in second part of the climb.
