Jonathan Milan yet again proved himself as a most formidable force in the bunch sprint on the final stage of Tirreno-Adriatico 2025 on Sunday afternoon. The bunch sprint finale of stage 7 was marred by a nasty crash inside the final 100 metres though, leaving a sour taste for the Italian despite his success.

“I’m happy to get this second victory. I have to say always thanks to my teammates. They did a perfect lead out. It was a bit tough in the climb where I have to say I suffered a bit, but we made it through to the finish line. We are happy,” Milan began his post-stage reflections afterwards, before turning attentions to that aforementioned crash that marred the finale. “I also have to say that I’m sorry that Jasper crashed in the final. It’s a really bad crash that happened in the last few hundred metres. I hope no-one is hurt really bad."

Ultimately though, for Milan this has been another standout performance en route to an expected Tour de France debut later this summer. Two more wins added to his palmares, plus the points classification triumph represent another successful week of racing for the Lidl-Trek powerhouse. “All-in-all, for me it was a really good Tirreno. I am really happy that we achieved the second victory after the crash that I had some days ago. Also, in these last two days it wasn’t super easy for me on the climbs, so I’m happy,” Milan's concludes his assessment of the race happily.
