"In Denmark Jonas Vingegaard is our national hero, so we want to be part of Jonas' team" - How Jumbo-Visma react to sales day in the Netherlands

Jumbo-Visma just completed a sales day in the Netherlands at their headquarters, and one of the new team members who was part of the logistical project and wrote about what the team fans told him.

"I wondered again why people wanted that. They would go to work wearing a white shirt with Jumbo-Visma on the chest. The answers came automatically at the checkout, spontaneously," Sander Kleikers, new press officer of Jumbo-Visma, wrote in the Chapeau Magazine. The Dutch team sold cycling clothing, fan items and casual wear over the past weeks at a large discount, and now had a physical selling point in the first days of December. 

"'I am proud of the team that was the first cycling team ever to win three Grand Tours in one year', or 'Marianne Vos has been an inspiration to me all her life' or 'In Denmark Jonas Vingegaard is our national hero, so we want to be part of Jonas' team'. That logo on the chest creates a feeling of pride, in keeping with one's own identity."

As the team achieves tremendous success in 2023, throughout road and cyclocross and also throughout the male and female pelotons, it gives a great reason to be proud of for a cycling-hungry nation.
