The
Tour de Pologne concluded with
Ethan Hayter’s victory. Team BikeExchange-Jayco rider
Matteo Sobrero finished the tour with fourth place overall.
The rider says he is satisfied with his performance in the tour. “I am happy with this fourth place overall,” said Sobrero. He says winning the tour was not his goal, but he was certainly aiming for the podium in some stages.
He continues, “For me, it is an important step to get a top 10 in a WorldTour race. Before the race, this was the goal, even if later in the week I was aiming for the podium because I felt good.” He slipped in the sixth stage and lost quite some time in GC ranking. “Unfortunately, the time trial did not go as we hoped, but in the end, the fourth place is still good. We did a good job with the team this week,” concluded Sobrero.
