Home victory for Nils Politt at Rund um Köln

BORA - hansgrohe have taken another win to their name, as they dominated the hilly Run um Köln and managed to see the home rider Nils Politt win in familiar roads.

Despite the hilly profile, two sprinters and a rouleur went up the road, as Nils Politt was joined by teammate Danny van Poppel and Nikias Arndt with over 50 kilometers to go. The sprinter heavy field could not get back to the front trio, as it slowly lost members throughout the several climbs and ended up arriving almost a minute back. Politt attacked in the final kilometers and soloed to the win, with van Poppel sprinting to second place. Nikias Arndt finished third.
