Guillaume Martin announces plans for 2024: Strade Bianche debut, Tour de France & Vuelta a Espana

Arguably the leading light of the Cofidis team, Guillaume Martin has some big ambitions for the 2024 campaign including a pair of Grand Tours and a debut at Strade Bianche.

Martin, a three-time top-10 finisher in a Grand Tour, has long been expected to lead the French-based team at their home Grand Tour once again, with teammate Bryan Coquard even touting him as a potential general classification challenger when the route and profiles of the 2024 Tour de France were revealed late last year.

After finishes of 14th and 9th in 2020 and 2021 respectively, Martin also has a return to the Vuelta a Espana on the cards in 2024. Although a Grand Tour stage win still eludes the Frenchman, Martin's biggest success in a three-week stage race came in Spain in 2020 when he took home the King of the Mountains jersey.

During the Spring, Paris-Nice, Fleche Wallonne and Liege-Bastogne-Liege are in the sights of Martin, as is a debut at Strade Bianche. The season begins for the 30-year-old at Classic Var of February 16th.

Guillaume Martin's race calendar for 2024:
