Gregor Mühlberger praises 19-year-old Giulio Pellizzari following stage 4 of the Tour of the Alps: "He is a boy who will give a lot to talk about in the future"

Following his first victory in two years on stage four of the 2023 Tour of the Alps, Gregor Mühlberger was full of praise for 19-year-old breakaway companion Giulio Pellizzari who finished third.

Describing the Green Project-Bardiani-CSF-Faizanè rider who was looking to become the youngest ever stage winner at the Tour of the Alps as a "rocket", Muhlberger showed a touch of class by lavishing praise on the young Italian in his post-race interview.

"It has been hard to put up with the young rocket from Bardiani," said the Movistar Team rider. "He is a boy who will give a lot to talk about in the future. I am happy, very happy, thanks to the team, it has been great."

"It's been a long time since my last victory and I'm very happy, it's fantastic to win, especially for this team, it's great to ride with them," he continued. "There were 4 of us in the breakaway and on the last climb I gave everything to stay ahead."
