Covid-19 continues to take damage on the peloton and this morning it is Domenico Pozzovivo who is abandoning the race because of it. The Italia veteran returned to the peloton with the Corsa Rosa on his mind in March but now sees all the work down the drain.
Israel - Premier Tech have lost their leader, with the 40-year old having tested positive this morning. Mads Würtz Schmidt has not tested positive for Covid however he has also abandoned the race will symptoms of illness.
