Stage 13 of the 2025
Giro d'Italia gave fans plenty of exciting racing keep them entertained. There has been a bit of reshuffling in the general classification as a result too, despite the relatively small time gaps at the finishing line.
Mads Pedersen took the stage win in Veneto with a monstrous sprint ahead of Wout van Aert. With neither of those two major players in the GC fight however, it was 3rd placed
Isaac del Toro who made the most of the finale. Gapping the rest of his rivals and adding a total of 6 bonus seconds to his time throughout the day (including 2 at the Red Bull sprint), the Mexican has strengthen his grip on the Maglia Rosa to 38 seconds to teammate
Juan Ayuso, with 3rd on GC
Antonio Tiberi now at 1:18 down.
Behind the podium come,
Simon Yates (+1:20),
Primoz Roglic (+1:35),
Richard Carapaz (+2:07),
Giulio Ciccone (+2:20) and
Brandon McNulty (+2:40), all unchanged positionally, but a few seconds further back on Del Toro because of the bonus seconds. Closing out the top 10 though, both
Egan Bernal (+2:50) and
Derek Gee (+2:54) have powered into the upper echelons of the GC as strong finishes on the final climb, bumping down Adam Yates and Thymen Arensman in the process.
