Four-stage Tour of Britain Women comes to UCI calendar in June 2024

After the prolonged troubles of the formerly renowned Women's Tour, British Cycling has been working hard to reinvent a women's stage race on the island.
In brilliant new for cycling fans in Great Britain, a new, Tour of Britain Women has been added to the UCI calendar in June 2024, as first spotted by Mathew Mitchell on X (Twitter).
The former organisers of both the Women's Tour and the Tour of Britain, SweetSpot went into liquidation earlier this year after some long term money concerns that has meant the likes of Wout van Aert among other are still waiting for their prize money payout for their performances at the race in 2023.
With British Cycling taking over the organisation in the wake of this, they've quickly set about attempting to clean up the image of the race and a new, revamped and renamed Tour of Britain Women is a very positive start.

- Quite a surprise, he's been a model Pro and as a nasty Brit I'm rather proud of what he's achieved. I sat watching, absolutely gutted for him on the Finnestre in 2018 but for many of us what he did this year was unexpected but brilliant (despite rooting for Isaac). The Women's Tour is dead... Long live the Tour of Britain Women! It's re-appeared in the UCI calendar as a 4-day race in early June 2024 and the name that BC should always have allowed in the first place
