  I’m inclined to think you’re right about the strength but wrong about the reasoning. Bridging with him would have been a major error. The gap to Tadej at the end was large enough for him to have been able to change strategy, start taking turns and fight for 2nd. If he was saving himself then we’ll see that the coming days but that’s hardly a good indication for future GT form where he won’t have the luxury of always thinking of the next stage and the one after that. Each race counts and 2nd or 3rd are always relevant in an era of points.

  It’s irrelevant really, he is deciding in terms of what’s still interesting or motivating for him, not what he has to prove to a very small number of spectators wanting a definitive answer to every last detail. Obviously he feels there is nothing left (at the moment) for him in cyclocross and that there’s still room for improvement in road (and it’s quite logical considering the differences) and he wants to see just what he could achieve by focusing just on that, even if a few convenient cyclocross races can be included on the way. I have always hoped this would might happen and it could be very exciting, one reason being the precedent that is WVA that has never really been discussed in detail. In road, WVA (in shape) has shown to be a better climber and (if only slightly) a better sprinter (though MVDP might be the stronger lead-out). It is then a bit peculiar that MVDP has the better results for everything between these two extremes. They are not dissimilar in stature and by losing a few kg (probably easier and less constraining without having cyclocross to consider) MVDp would actually match Wout. Maybe Wout’s road success came as a result of taking his cyclocross less seriously but he definitely showed impressive results, if MVDP gains anywhere near the same margins, it opens up a whole range of new opportunities on the road. Hopefully Mou will be on board for this experiment ;-)

  Yeah, but now Vinni the Fish is the UCI Minister of Safety and things like that will not happen anymore. No more crashes, no more wet roads, no more narrow roads with sharp turns, no more tree roots. Paris Roubaix, Flanders and Strade Bianche will get asphalt pavement...no more cobbles and gravel. Vinni the Fish will change the landscape for cycling :)

The story of Tadej's mysterious bulge in his cycling shorts also reaches a conclusion... it's his "balls." He's the only one that has them... he's the only one racing all the races with multiple top class rivals such as Vinni the Fish, MVDP, Van Aert, Seixas, Remco Mustafa, Ayuso the Rat, grandpa Primoz Roglic, etc. etc... Pogi the Baby Hulk is racing all 5 monuments, 2 one week stage races (Romandie and Swiss), the Tour de France, the World Championships... and he may put in some more races, he said it himself, depending on how he feels. Who can match this. NOBODY!!! Ad acta.

  In some circles yes but where I read up I’ve never heard of Emma Raducanu being referred to as Canadian and Geraint was notoriously Welsh and MVDP only gets insulted as a Belgian when he wins ;-) I think it will depend a lot on how HE sells himself and it will be on him to steer the narrative.

  Tudor could rise to the WorldTour earlier than 2029 if Picnic-PostNL don't succeed much this year and the UCI don't renew their license. Max Poole will have a good amount of success this year, after which he'll move to Ineos.

  Hey you fools, some of you Danes, Dutch, French and Belgians (Pogi haters). Pogacar's 10% improvement smells fishy? But Seixas at 19 years, who is better than Pogi at 19, doesn't smell fishy? You know what, f*** you all !!! Since 2023 Pogi improves every year. It's all a plan by the UAE science experts, nothing is a surprise. Bad luck for the teams, that Pogi's trainer Javier Sola made a "killing machine" ... just like Victor Frankenstein. But Victors monster was only strong... Javiers monster is strong, fast and intelligent... who looks like a cute young boy of 20 years. Ha ha ha ha... I mock and make fun of all Pogi - Baby Hulk haters. They deserve nothing less.

  I responsibly claim that Tadej Pogacar is the best athlete of all time in all sports. Jordan was considered the G.O.A.T. .... he is no longer. Long live the Slovenian King - POGI !!!
