The final day of the
Tour of Turkey takes the riders to Istambul finally, but the stage will be shorter than expected. Heavy rains and bad weather forecast led the organizers to decide to neutralize the GC times on the day, which confirms Team DSM-Firmenich's
Frank van den Broek as the overall classification winner.
This triumph comes after the win in the queen stage of this Friday, where he beat Merhawi Kudus in a head-to-head. The riders were meant to race a five-lap circuit in Istambul today but will instead only race one. The slight uphill and very technical finale poses a risk of crashes - as have other sprint finishes during the week.
