Milano-Sanremo Women 2026 takes place on Saturday, March 21, as the second edition of the revived Monument brings the biggest names in the sport to the Ligurian coast. From Genoa to the iconic Via Roma finish in Sanremo, this is one of the defining one-day races of the season.

Star power led by SD Worx duo as sprinters and attackers collide
All eyes naturally fall on Team SD Worx Protime, who arrive with both defending winner Lorena Wiebes and Lotte Kopecky, giving them winning options whether the race ends in a sprint or is decided on the Poggio.
Elisa Balsamo leads Lidl Trek’s hopes on home roads, while Charlotte Kool and Letizia Paternoster add further sprint depth to a field that still looks selective rather than overcrowded.
There is also no shortage of attacking threats. Kasia Niewiadoma headlines Canyon SRAM’s aggressive options, while UAE Team ADQ bring a dangerous combination in Silvia Persico and Mavi Garcia, both capable of making the difference on the final climbs.
With multiple race scenarios in play and no single dominant blueprint, Milano-Sanremo Women once again looks set to balance on the edge between a reduced sprint and a decisive late move.

- It's weird to say Evenepoel would be making a "serious mistake by adding the 2027 Giro d'Italia to his calendar, warning that such a decision could even be interpreted as a lack of confidence in his ability to win the Tour de France." It may well be a mistake but with so many commentators (of all sorts) continuously claiming almost everything Remco does as being a mistake, almost nobody should care what the pundits and the disparagers should say. His team may not want him to do the Giro, and that matters. But it's possibly or probably up to Remco to decide and it may not have to be decided on until a month or so ahead of the race. Yes , Remco is inconsistent much like the majority of the best riders but he's enjoying a period of not having been recently injured (or sick).
