Zana has just came off the back of winning the Italian national championships, and has also conquered the Adriatica Ionica race after a disappointing Giro d'Italia. The 23-year old was the winner of the Course de la Paix and the Sazka Tour last year, aswell as a podium finisher on the Tour de l'Avenir - whilst having raced the Giro d'Italia aswell earlier in the season.

Although a strong climber, his recent win at the national championships where he outsprinted Samuele Battistella and Lorenzo Rota at the end of a long and hilly day in Italy shows that he is not a one-sided rider, and can in fact be highly competitive on other terrains which has him stand-out.
