The 2025 season is already a reality. All the teams are ready to give their all in the upcoming ten months of fierce cycling battles. For INEOS Grenadiers in particular, this campaign will have to be a positive one, especially after the disappointing year they had in 2024.
To do so, the British team will need to once again see the best versions of its stars. One of those whose performances were only a shadow of past was Filippo Ganna. Like INEOS, the Italian was not at his best last year either. In fact, it was even rumored that he might leave the team in the off-season.
But nothing could be further from the truth. Ganna is ready to return to stardom in 2025. In fact, his coach Dario Cioni has confirmed 3 very ambitious goals of the Italian in words for bici.PRO: Milano-Sanremo, Paris-Roubaix and Tour de France.
"Because of the Olympics, we didn't do Paris-Roubaix in 2024, because Filippo wanted to do well at the Giro. We postponed it last year and that's why we included it as a big event for next year," explains Ganna's coach, who won the silver medal in the Olympic time trial. Only an unstoppable Remco Evenepoel could beat him.
"Just like Milano-Sanremo, and also the Tour de France, which didn't enter his plans last year because it coincided with the Olympic program. Filippo is looking forward to returning to France after his first experience," he adds.
"In 2022 it didn't go as I expected, so I think he wants to try his luck in a well-prepared Tour. The same for Roubaix. He had prepared it a bit better two years ago, now the idea is to come back because of the northern classics it's the one we think he does best. But first there is the Milano-Sanremo: he wants to go back there to win," says Dario Cioni.
