INEOS Grenadiers are certainly having a better years than in 2024, and today's exhibition at
Tirreno-Adriatico will give a lot of motivation. The Italian rider soared to victory on stage 1 of the Italian race, winning no less than a whole 23 seconds on his closest rival
Juan Ayuso in the space of only 11 kilometers.
The Italian rider was one of the last riders to finish his effort and the result was impressive. A sigh of relief from a rider who has thus far not had the best of seasons, today he removed more than 2 seconds per kilometer on his closest rival Juan Ayuso who only a few minutes before had set a strong time - in the end 23 seconds slower than Ganna, but gaining time on his rivals.
Johan Price-Pejtersen finished third on the day after spending much of the day in the hot seat, finishing 28 seconds slower.
