The Movistar Team for the upcoming Giro d'Italia has been unveiled with Fernando Gaviria set to lead the team's hopes for success with the in-form Colombian targeting stage wins.
Fresh off the back of a dominant sprint win on the final stage of the Tour de Romandie, Gaviria immediately turned his attention to the Giro d'Italia in his post-race interview. The 28-year-old is a former five-time stage winner at the race and will be hoping to add to that tally over the coming three weeks.
Alongside Gaviria will be the American time-trial specialist Will Barta, 25-year-old German, Max Kanter plus the vastly experienced José Joaquín Rojas and Albert Torres. Einer Rubio will be hoping to mount a general classification challenge, supported by Gonzalo Serrano and Carlos Verona.
