The event will consist of five events, with the men's junior, women's junior and men's under-23 races taking place in the morning as well. In the beginning of the afternoon, the women's elite race will start at 13:00CET and should end at approximately 13:50CET. The men's race begins at 14:30CET and should end at around 15:35CET.

The men's race will have lots of riders capable of taking the first World Cup victory. Amongst these are
Thibau Nys, Pim Ronhaar and Lars van der Haar of Baloise - Glowi Lions;
Joris Nieuwenhuis who's been in a great run of form; European Champion Toon Aerts; defending champion Michael Vanthourenhout; Niels Vandeputte and Jente Michels of Alpecin-Deceuninck; and the swarm of Crelan-Corendon riders in Laurens Sweeck, Joran Wyseure, Emiel Verstrynge, Toon Vandebosch and Witse Meeussen. Cameron Mason, Felipe Orts and Kevin Kuhn are also likely to be up there.
The women's race will be headlined by
Lucinda Brand who will be the outright favourites. In the absence of Fem van Empel, who has been having health issues recently, the Dutchwoman will likely continue her streak of over 50 podiums and a victory to lead another cup currently is also likely.
European Champion Inge van der Heijden, Célia Gery, Leonie Bentveld, Sara Casasola and Marie Schreiber should be her main rivals on the day.
