Paris-Nice starts this Sunday and Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team are set to hunt for stages in French roads as they announce a team with Fabio Jakobsen and the cobbled classics block for the startline.
After an incredibly successful start to the season, Fabio Jakobsen is once again back on the road as he will be eyeing the race's sprints with leadout expert Michael Morkov to play a role. Sure enough, only stage two is set to have a pure sprint, but the team has brought in several other riders who can take up stage wins throughout the race, the classics riders looking to build up form Yves Lampaert, Zdenek Stybar and Florian Sénéchal are here and will play a crucial support role for the Dutchman. Iljo Keisse is also set to be within the team's plans for the flat stages.
For the hills and possibly a GC tilt, the team has Mauri Vansevenant coming as their card. Although team DS Tom Steels says "[Mauri] comes here without any kind of pressure; he has a free role and we'll just see how things turn out for him."
