Enric Mas, looking forward to the Tourmalet: "The Vuelta for us starts with the Pyrenees"

The Vuelta a España will enter next Friday in its decisive part with the arrival of the Tourmalet with the favorites very tight at the head of the race. Enric Mas, after a pretty good start of the race, is a little bit behind after his modest time trial in Valladolid.

The Balearic cyclist is clear that for him everything starts in the Pyrenees, where he will play his podium chances against very strong rivals. Stage 13 sees a new block of mountain stages begin, as the riders go through the French border. "The Vuelta for us starts with the Pyrenees. Today was a very decisive stage because of the wind, but we'll be lucky. Tourmalet? We're looking forward to the hard mountain. It's the mountain of the Tour in quotation marks. It will be a very nice Vuelta," explained Enric Mas to the media.

Enric faces the decisive stage of the Vuelta, a race in which he has finished second three times, including the last two years, 2 minutes and 50 seconds behind leader Sepp Kuss and 1 minute and 39 seconds behind Remco Evenepoel, the first of the big favorites.
