Enric Mas, three times third in the Vuelta a Espana, hopes to show his better side again in 2024 season, in which he will wear the Movistar colours at the Tour de France and Vuelta, where he hopes to take advantage of the presence of the Colombian Nairo Quintana to shake off the pressure.
"I hope I don't have the bad luck of last year, when I withdrew from the Tour on the first day, but I'm really looking forward to it. Nairo's arrival will be very good for all of us and the 10 additions of Eusebio Unzue are important," said Mas. But, with the main objective of the Tour, he admitted the success in signing Quintana.
But he is content with not having physical problems, an aspect that has diminished him in recent seasons. "I hope so, since I have not been able to show the Enric that I am. I hope to show it in this very special year for the company, which turns 100 years old," he said.
Regarding the recently presented Vuelta route, Mas gave his opinion. "I really like the route, it is very demanding, a daily exam that you have to pass with a grade, from start to finish you have to complete it," he concluded.
