Filippo Ganna and
Elia Viviani will both ride the WorldTour race
Tour Down Under in January. This is confirmed by the race organisers in a press release.
Ganna and Viviani, who both race for
Ineos Grenadiers, both pack a tremendous speed. Viviani being the real sprinter, but Ganna has shown that he can certainly pull off a powerful sprint as well. He proved that, among other things, in the Vuelta a Espana.
There will be sprint opportunities in Australia, but so acknowledge many other top tier sprinters, who are planning to make an appearance in the World Tour season opener. Caleb Ewan and Sam Welsford are among those will want to show off in their new kits.
At the moment, it is not yet clear who will accompany the Italians in INEOS Grenadiers jersey. The Tour Down Under starts on January 16 for the men and on January 12 for the women.
Good for them. They bring in some experience to an otherwise youthful Ineos Grandiers team
