Ellen van Dijk has decided to extend her stay with Trek-Segafredo. She will ride until 2024.
“I am super happy to stay here. I really feel at home with Trek-Segafredo, and I wouldn’t want to continue my career in any other team,” van Dijk said.
Van Dijk has been part of the team since 2019, when it decided to invest in women's cycling. “In fact, I couldn’t even imagine doing that. I have been part of Trek-Segafredo since they started the women’s team in 2019, and because I have been here since the beginning, I really feel part of it. Everybody always says their team ‘feels like a family.”
She concluded, “I am looking forward to continuing this journey together. I am sure it’s going to be another great two years, and I can’t wait for what’s to come.” She has secured a total of 7 wins this season including Baloise Ladies Tour and Open de Suede Vargarda.
