12 days after the life-threatening accident, positive news keep coming from the medical team surrounding the Colombian rider.
Recently Bernal has gone through his 7th surgery since the training accident on the January 24th, and reports continue to indicate his recovery process is going according to the most positive expectations.
On this Friday night a new update notification has been released from the Clínica Universidad de La Sabana: "From the medical point of view and given his improvement and progressive clinical evolution, the patient will be discharged from the intermediate care unit and will be transfared today to general hospitalization."
"According to his process, he has improved his response to pain control and hasn't presented complications. With that said, we continue very focused on a permanent following of his evolution and treatment," said Juan Guillermo Ortiz Martínez, general director of the medical center.
