Team SD Worx has revealed its team for Tour de France Femmes. The team is counting on Demi Vollering to lead the team.
Vollering is one of the best riders currently present in the team. She secured victory in Itzulia Women and ranked third in Vuelta a Burgos Feminas. While Vollering will aim for the yellow jersey, her teammate, Lotte Kopecky, has her eyes set on the green jersey. She secured the second position in Paris-Roubaix Femmes.
Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio will act as a reserve card for the yellow jersey in case Vollering cannot pursue the goal. Chantal van den Broek-Blaak will be responsible for breakaways and sprints while she tries to snatch a stage victory.
Marlen Reusser had to withdraw from the Women’s Tour due to a crash, and she could not continue in Tour de Suisse due to Covid-19, so this tour will be a big event to prove her worth in the team. Christine Majerus will use her vast experience and be responsible for leading the support team to provide cover to Vollering and Kopecky in the tour.

- I don’t call the writers here journalists, they are at best paid posters, no more knowledgable than many of us. I certainly don’t agree with everything they say or portray but I do understand they have to provoke to make their hitherto business model sustainable. And as it isn’t possible to discuss with them, it’s more interesting, rewarding and instructive to pick points to discuss with people willing to engage. I choose and have my own reasons for positive of negative opinions on riders and engage when someone disagrees on those, not interested in engaging on other reasons. What I agree with or don’t is pretty irrelevant though, I think you’ll agree JV gets his fair share of lifestyle criticism (also here) so why should TP be exempt?
