Christophe Laporte's 2024 spring continues to be a disrupted one. After the European champion was forced to abandon Milano-Sanremo last weekend, Laporte has now been ruled out of the upcoming E3 Saxo Classic.
"Christophe Laporte is still not feeling a hundred percent after he had to abandon Milano-Sanremo," reads an official announcement by the Team Visma | Lease a Bike social media pages. "He will take some extra time to recover and will not start in the E3 Saxo Classic. We hope to have him back for the rest of his spring campaign."
A runner-up at the E3 Saxo Classic back in 2022 behind Wout van Aert, Laporte finished 23rd last year, but again did his job to help van Aert secure the win.
