Built to Win: Tadej Pogacar’s new Colnago aims to make him even more unstoppable

Colnago, the bike brand used by the world’s top cycling team, UAE Team Emirates, has unveiled the new model that will be at the disposal of Tadej Pogacar and his teammates - one they claim is even “lighter and more aerodynamic.”

The Italian brand introduced the bike on social media, with the world champion front and centre, sharing the following message:

"Introducing the new heir to a legend: the Colnago V5Rs.
For over a decade, the V Series has embodied the Colnago racing spirit, setting the pace in the most demanding cycling competitions. Since the V4Rs dominated the scene with UAE Team Emirates - XRG and UAE Team ADQ, we’ve been relentless in our pursuit to improve on the seemingly perfect. We’ll have to see how UAE Team Emirates XRG performs with the new Colnago, though judging by how well previous models have done, we’d wager things will go just fine. Still, nothing is guaranteed - a new bike doesn’t always mean better performance. Just ask Alberto Contador, who once complained about being forced to ride a new model during the Tour de France that actually performed worse than its predecessor. But hey, advertising always comes first...
