Bradley Wiggins on Egan Bernal: "It begs the question whether he will ever get back"

On his podcast, Bradley Wiggins has talked about several subjects, one of them being his opinion on Egan Bernal's incident and recovery process, where he has lifted questions on the condition of the leader of his former team.

"We are unlikely to have last year's winner of the Giro potentially on a start line this year, aren't we, after his horrific crash in Colombia. It begs the question whether he will ever get back because of his underlying conditions with his back anyway. It was a pretty big fall for him wasn't it, some horrific injuries," he said.

The last time the Colombian rider came out on social media was on the 24th of February where he has shown the continuation of his rehabilitation process. Bernal had an accident whilst on a training ride on the 24th of February where he suffered life-threatening injuries, which have been miraculously treated, but the Colombian faces a long battle in order to simply get his full body strength back. Soon new updates should come on his condition and his expectations for the future.
