Bahrain - Victorious renew Fred Wright - Briton looking for win at Vuelta a Espana

Fred Wright is one of Bahrain - Victorious young talents, having turned pro in 2020, and he will stay with the team for another season as the two have agreed on a renewal for the 2023 season.

In a small post, the team revealed the deal was agreed on. This takes place at a time where Wright is racing the Vuelta a Espana, where he has taken already three Top5 places and is in second place on the points classification. He was on the verge of riding into the red jersey on the fifth stage aswell, but found resistance in Rudy Molard into Bilbao. With Mikel Landa, Santiago Buitrago and Gino Mäder all underperforming, the Briton has taken the spotlight in the race.

Wright has also finished second to Mads Pedersen in the 13th stage of the Tour de France, displaying tremendous talent as a rouleur and puncheurs. He's finished seventh at this year's Tour des Flandres, and the 23-year old has other strong results to show for throughout his three seasons with the team.

In today's stage into Tomares, Wright will be one of the main contenders for the stage win.
