Axel Laurance in advanced negotiations with INEOS Grenadiers

According to journalist Elliott Bureau, Axel Laurance could be the latest name set to join the INEOS Grenadiers.

The 21-year-old Frenchman currently rides for B&B Hotels - KTM and finished 2nd in the 2022 Bretagne Classic behind Wout van Aert. Alongside Axel Laurance, Luca Mozzato and Franck Bonnamour could also be set to flee the sinking ship that is B&B Hotels - KTM.

After a sponsorship agreement was not able to be reached, the high hopes many behind the scenes at the team had are not likely to come to fruition. In fact, the rumoured signings of Mark Cavendish and Cees Bol seem dead in the water already.

As uncertainty only grows around the future of the team it is no surprise riders are beginning to see their future elsewhere. As Laurance looks set to join INEOS and others seem to be following him out the door the only question is how many more are to leave for pastures anew.
