Taking two victories, Jorgenson proved his capabilities on a number of different fronts, emerging victorious and taking stage race success at Paris-Nice, then equally impressively adding Spring Classic glory to his palmares at Dwars door Vlaanderen. Coming just 8 seconds from overall victory at the Criterium du Dauphine, Jorgenson also took a top 10 finish from the Tour de France in support of team leader Jonas Vingegaard.
Scooping up a large total of 43% of the votes, the American had a sizeable advantage over Roglic (30%) and Milan (13%), with the remaining trio of Pavel Sivakov (8%), Mikel Landa (4%) and Daniel Martinez (1%) splitting the remainder of the votes between them.
