The Swiss had already spent some considerable time in the hotseat, when former world champion Tobias Foss gave him a big scare, but ultimately crossed the line .8 of a second slower. Bissegger's time wasn't good enough for the stage win however, as
Lotto Dstny's
Alec Segaert went more than 10 seconds quicker with his effort, a blistering time to say the least.
Mathieu van der Poel clocked the provisional 9th fastest time, Magnus Sheffield missed out on Segaert's time by just 7 seconds, whilst Tim Wellens clocked a time 16 seconds slower than his young compatriot.
