Adam Yates, João Almeida, Jay Vine and Pavel Sivakov all hope for freedom and GC success at Vuelta a Espana for UAE Team Emirates

UAE Team Emirates have already planned their '8' for the Giro d'Italia and Tour de France where they'll chase GC success. Despite being quite early, the team already has in mind it's leaders for the Vuelta a Espana. Four riders already have the Spanish Grand Tour in mind.

“I might get the space and freedom in the Vuelta, that would be nice," Adam Yates told Wielerflits in the press conference that took place this Monday. But of course it depends on my level of form and how I come out of the Tour. And then we have the Olympic Games. The course is not tailor-made for me, but it is a cool experience. Everyone wants to go to the Games.”

Hence Yates is putting his chips in the Tour-Vuelta combo this upcoming season, but still racing the Olympic Games in Paris inbetween possibly - if he is chosen by the British national team. The UAE Team Emirates had a stunning season this year, his best to date, and rode to third at the Tour de France together with Tadej Pogacar. The two will race alongside Juan Ayuso and João Almeida in the 2024 edition, but Yates will keep his form afterwards.

The Briton and Almeida will then race the Vuelta a España. Alongside them will be Jay Vine who will do the Giro-Vuelta double, and also Pavel Sivakov who is hinted to be racing the Tour de France but as a domestique for the many leaders that will be present at the start line.
