UAE Team Emirates is one of the teams currently hosting the strongest climbers in the peloton, but they may not be finished yet, as a recent report suggests a deal between the UAE team and
Adam Yates may be very close to being agreed.
In conversation with Velonews, team manager Maurio Gianetti has said that “yes we are discussing with him, like I think, other teams". This further deepened the possibility of the Briton joining UAE, a team currently hosting three young Grand Tour specialists in Tadej Pogacar, João Almeida and Tadej Pogacar. Yates' presence would bring further firepower for the team's mountain block, matching the likes of Jumbo-Visma and
INEOS Grenadiers, whilst simultaneously expanding the gap to teams of smaller caliber in this terrain.
