37 riders abandon Tour de Suisse before stage 7 including Küng, Girmay, Hirschi and Bilbao

After the tragic passing of Gino Mäder and the tribute stage yesterday, many riders have headed home. Teams have largely gave permission for the riders who wished to abandon to leave the race, 37 in total have not started in the Tour de Suisse today.

This number includes the remaining riders from the Bahrain - Victorious, Intermarché - Circus - Wanty and Tudor Pro Cycling Team, however many of the riders have individually opted to abandon the race today including fellow compatriots.

Riders DNS Tour de Suisse stage 7:

Bahrain - Victorious - Filip Maciejuk, Pello Bilbao, Fran Miholjevic, Nikias Arndt, Johan Price-Pejtersen.

Intermarché - Circus - Wanty - Adrien Petit, Rui Costa, Biniam Girmay, Dion Smith, Dries de Pooter, Lilian Calmejane and Mike Teunissen.

Tudor Pro Cycling Team - Jacob Eriksson, Roland Thalmann, Sébastien Reichenbach, Alexander Kamp, Yannis Voisard, Arthur Kluckers and Joel Suter.

AG2R Citroën Team - Michael Schär.

EF Education - EasyPost - Tom Scully and Julius van den Berg.

Groupama - FDJ - Arnaud Démare, Stefan Küng and Miles Scotson.

Jumbo-Visma - Rohan Dennis.

Soudal - Quick-Step - Mauro Schmid.

Arkéa Samsic - Dan Mclay and Matis Louvel.

Trek - Segafredo - Quinn SImmons.

UAE Team Emirates - Marc Hirschi.

Lotto Dstny - Lennert van Eetvelt (Sylvain Moniquet, with illness too).

Israel - Premier Tech - Daryl Impey, Krists Neilands and Nick Schultz.
