2024 Giro d'Italia Prize Money Distribution - How over โฌ1.600.000 will be distributed between the riders

The Giro d'Italia - taking place from the 4th to the 26th of May - is every year one of the best and most exciting races in the calendar. We will find out what the 2024 edition has in store for us, in a route that is brutal, a startlist packed with strong sprinters and Tadej Pogacar as the main favourite to conquer the pink jersey. We take a look at how the prize money will be distributed.
The total amount of prize money that will be distributed throughout the 21 stages of the Giro d'Italia is โฌ1.606.160. This will be given as a basis of the following classifications: Overall; Points; KOM; Youth and Teams. Furthermore, prizes are attributed for the Intermediate sprints, Intergiro, longest breakaways and combativity awards.
Stage Results
Everyday, the winner of the stage will win over โฌ11.000 in prizes. The first 20 riders to cross the finish line will, in some way, win something. Every single day then, โฌ27.540 will be handed out from this result.

Final overall classification
The overall classification is given on the basis of two different awards, one given from the race organization and one coming from special rewards for the riders. The winner of the overall classification will win โฌ265.668 when both are added; and all the riders present in the Top20 will also receive some sort of compensation.
