Lennert van Eetvelt has developed a new generation of young Belgian talents that are nowadays leading it from top to bottom. Besides the likes of De Lie and Segaert, the 2025 season will see it's top climber Lennert van Eetvelt shoot his shot in gravel, cobbled classics, Ardennes, multiple stage-races and a whole two more Grand Tours!

At the Lotto camp, many news begin to emerge over the calendar of it's leaders now that we enter January. Van Eetvelt, winner of the UAE Tour and Tour of Guangxi this past year, has deeply impressed, taking a few more wins over the year and almost beating Primoz Roglic at the first summit of the 2024 La Vuelta. The team know of his versatility, and the two have agreed on a schedule not too different from Tadej Pogacar in the sense that he will be aiming for results in just about all kinds of races.

According to Wielerflits the Belgian will wait until later to start off his 2025 season, but this will be at the UAE Tour where he will pin the number 1 on his back, but will have to face the World Champion himself. Right after concluding the stage-race he will travel to Europe where he will race the cobbled Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, and then one week later Strade Bianche.

Van Eetvelt will neither race Paris-Nice or Tirreno-Adriatico, but instead the Volta a Catalunya with more mountainous and explosive stages that suit him. But this will actually be his final stage-race of the season, as after Catalunya he will head 'raw' into the Tour of Flanders right away - without competing in any of the traditional preparation races. After Flanders he takes some rest, skips Amstel Gold Race, and races both Flèche Wallonne and Liège-Bastogne-Liège.

After this he will take a big resting period and begin preparation for this Tour de France debut where according to the Dutch news outlet he will be looking to take a stage win and gain experience in a race he may aim for in the future. After this, he will race the Vuelta a España in an attempt to go for the overall classification this time around.
