1 out of every 3 riders at the 2025 Vuelta will be racing it for the first time - But who are they?

There will be 184 riders at the start of the 2025 Vuelta a España and out of those, a whole 62 will be racing the Spanish Grand Tour for the first time. This means that 33.7% riders are debutants, or in simpler terms, one in every three!

The list is composed of six riders and this includes all of the youngest riders in the race, the five 20-year olds: Markel Beloki, Léo Bisiaux, Juan Guillerme Martinez, Roman Erkamov and Léandre Lozquet. 50 out of the 62 are aged 25 or below, but in this list we also have a few riders who've been in the peloton for many years.

The oldest Vuelta debutant at the startline will be Alpecin-Deceuninck's Jonas Rickaert at age 31, playing a key support role for Jasper Philipsen, after he himselft left a mark at the Tour de France. The list does not feature too many big names but we could certainly see a few riders win a stage on their first edition such as Giulio Pellizzari, Magnus Sheffield, Matteo Jorgenson, Casper van Uden or Ethan Vernon.
