dont you think it was instructions from the team car rather than his giving up? he seemed to be following orders throughout the race?

incredible maturity for such a young guy. Pity that UAE DS messed up the tactics on stage 20

Contador's comments are becoming crazier. Carapaz pulled on the climb. Del toro did not. He is not Del toro's teammate

No Alberto, Del Toro lost it for himself...

What a delusional bloke! Talking about fighting for the overall while being 13 minutes down the GC. It’s evident that his crash into the parked bus damaged not only his performance but brains as well. With Jonas as the best GT rider and other top GT GC riders absent.. it would have been more than 20minutes.

However awful UAE's tactics were, and however bad the fear of being cracked again by Carapaz were, it is still almost beyond belief that Del Toro stopped fighting. Very sad, he had shown such fighting spirit.

I think they tried that in TdF. Visma was not happy that some strategic communications was leaked or something like that. It wasn't compulsory for every team to join. Did they stop it last year? I don't recall hearing radio communication last year.

When you’re a paid employee or contractor or self-employed you arrange what is best and parties either agree or not. Stating in advance how far you’ll go in a race because you have a specific task and other obligations is NOT being a quitter.
